Call to Artists

Join us for the Second Round of the Breast Cancer Mermaid™ Art Collaborative. Artwork submitted will be considered for upcoming Murals and Art Exhibitions. See Guidelines below.
The Breast Cancer Mermaid™ concept was created by Dr. Charley Ferrer to bring awareness and advocacyconcerning breast cancer. It reminds woman (and men) that despite the ravages of this disease to a woman's bodyand her body-image, or the fact that she my lose a breast or two during surgery, she is still just as beautiful, alluring, and feminine as she's always been. We look for artists at any level, in any medium, and in any country, to submit their rendition of what they believe a mermaid with breast cancer would look like. You are also welcomed to show the mermaid (merman) in various stages of this disease as some of our prior artists have done. Multiple submissions for this round are not being accepted unless the paintings are part of a specific story line of the painting.
The Breast Cancer Mermaid™ art submissions are used for educational purposes and are part of our Traveling Exhibition.
