Our first Breast Cancer Mermaid Mural
We're proud to announce our first Breast Cancer Mermaid Mural which honors the strength and courage displayed by women with this disease is currently being painted on the wall of the Silver Dolphin Restaurant in Hernando Beach Florida. We call her Maisy.
Maisy is currently being painted by our Community Artist & Muralist Autum Proctor. The painting was originally drawn by Lyn Bechtel for the Breast Cancer Mermaid Art Project which debuted on May 4, 2024. Unfortunately, Lyn wasn't able to paint the mural due to health restrictions.
Maisy was painted in tribute to Lyn's daughter, Daisy who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

We invite you to join us for the presentation and to come by the Silver Dolphin Restaurant, take a picture with Maisy and write your name on the wall or that of a loved one diagnosed with breast cancer. Be sure to kee an eye out for our upcoming celebration once the mural is completed.
