What's a Breast Cancer Mermaid Art Exhibit without a LIVE Mermaid?
Jasmine Cora, a local mermaid from Hernando County, has graciously agreed to be our LIVE Mermaid during this event. She's been a professional mermaid for several years and is also an amazing artist. She's submitted an art piece for the Breast Cancer Mermaid Art Project as well. You'll be able to see it at the Cinco de Mayo Weekend Health Expo.
Best of all, you'll be able to take pictures with Jasmine Cora while she's dressed in her mermaid tail and crown. Who wouldn't want a picture with a mermaid? Jasmine is requesting a small donation for pictures (on your camera or smartphone). She's gracious offered to donate her proceeds to Cancer Tamer Foundation to assist in our continuing mission to empower women with breast cancer in our county.
* For those that wonder: No, Jasmine does not have breast cancer, thank God. She is merely graciously acting as our LIVE Mermaid for the day and making it more magical. Imagine, Elvis, Mermaids, and Artists all at the same place. Talk about a wonderous day full of opportunties and picture ops.
