NYC Law on Breast Cancer Work-Leave
Did you know that current New York State law requires all public employers to provide their employees with four hours of leave each year for breast cancer screening?

Though you may need to provide your empower with a doctor’s note showing that your actually attended a breast cancer screening (not your results), this is one occasion that works in favor of your health. If your employer doesn’t provide medical insurance or you have not applied for state funded medical coverage, check in your area for free mammogram screening and always perform your own breast self-exams monthly.
