We have a fabulous time in store for you during this amazing workshop which teaches you how to create your own Glass Beads. If you love those darling beads you put on your charm’s bracelet, then you’re going to love these. Made by YOU. You’ll discover how to make amazing beads as you allow your creative genius to shine through. Best of all, you’ll take home anywhere from 20 – 30 beads. Share them with friends or keep them for yourself. To ensure safety and individual training, this workshop is limited to 8-women. First come basis. All you need to know is below

This is an ALL-DAY event
We have worked out a special discount rate for Cancer Tamer members. We will have the use of the studio for this day. Our instructor, Stephanie and the owner, Tricia will be on-hand to provide individual instruction and help you make your creations come to life.
Transportation: Carpool
We will provide transportation from Staten Island to the studio and back.
Meals: We will provide fruits and healthy snacks to munch on throughout the day.
There are restaurants and eateries across the street where you can order lunch or we can have it delivered. We’ll have the entire studio to ourselves and the owner is willing to allow us to have a sit-down lunch in a designated area. More on those logistics later.

Our Instructor: Stephanie Maddalena
Join Stephanie Maddalena for a 1-day hands-on workshop where you will learn the basics of lampworking, or glass bead making, using ancient Venetian techniques. Learn how to manipulate and combine colorful rods of glass into beautiful shapes and beads. The class will be limited to eight students allowing for individual instruction. No experience necessary. All tools and materials needed will be provided. Just show up!
Stephanie Maddalena has a BA in Fine Arts. She has been lampworking since 1994 after a workshop with Kate Fowle Meleney. Stephanie now teaches at the Art School at Old Church in Demarest, NJ, Silvermine, the Guilford Art Center in CT, the Rockland Center for the Arts and Hudson Beach Glass in NY. She has spent the past 14 years teaching throughout the northeast and was published in La Vie Claire magazine.
