Rehearsal #3 — Stupid SH*T People Say…
Yesterday, was our third rehearsal for Breast Cancer Diaries. The camaraderie we share is readily witnessed in our pictures – which we remembered to take this time. It’s humbling to see how each woman is dedicated in bringing the stories they’re telling about someone else’s experience with breast cancer to life; becoming a voice for those that are no longer with us and those that are.
Yes, there are some moments that wrench your heart; however there are many more that make you laugh and even others that inspire you or give you food for thought.
Yesterday, we practiced the scenes for “Stupid SH*T People Say…when they learn you have breast cancer.” Barbara Scalici came up with the fabulous idea of turning the scene into a sort of “Game show.” The neighbors were probably wondering what all the laughing and joking was about.
We’ve created a T-shirt for this scene which is available for Pre-Orders or during the play. http://cancertamer.org/t-shirts
And of course, we’d love to hear what “Stupid SH*T People Say…” to you, when you tell them you have breast cancer..
Live with ROARING passion,
Dr. Charley Ferrer
