Meet the Cast — Joan Galati

A Personal Invitation from Joan Galati, Voice #3 to join us for Breast Cancer Diaries October 5 and 22, 2019
A little about Joan:
Born and raised in Brooklyn, and the eldest daughter of seven children, Joan has been in a supporting role her entire life, whether she was helping to keep the family’s Stained Glass business afloat, raising her two beautiful daughters Lisa, and Darlene, or handling a full case load of at risk HIV/AIDS clients at Catholic Charities for nearly two decades. Recently, and most important to her is being a grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren, Giovanni, Julian, Chasity, Nicholas, and April.
“My mother, Mary Galati, is my inspiration; because she raised seven children with very little, and was able to teach us how important it is to treat all people with kindness and respect, and the value of striving to become the best version of one’s self.”
Joan was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer in August 2016. To date Joan is cancer free. She states,
“I was honored to be part of this play and to bring a voice to the many woman and men who are dealing with this horrible disease, and to the many others who are no longer with us.”
